Mrs. Nielsen made class both fun and challenging for me. She held me to a high standard, but she was also very helpful and encouraging. As a result, I decided to major in Spanish. Because of her incredible preparation, I was able to CLEP out of two years of college Spanish and now, as a sophomore, am only three classes away from finishing the major. I spent four months studying abroad in Quito, Ecuador! Not only is Mrs. Nielsen an excellent teacher, she is also a wonderful person. She really wants to get to know her students and is compassionate and giving of herself. Two years after high school, we still meet for coffee every time I am home from school. She has become a dear friend and mentor in my life and I am SO thankful for her!

Mrs. Nielsen is one of the best teachers I've had! She has patience, and she's really funny in class, and just fun to be around. I learned so much Spanish in her class, and she even inspired me to go to Mexico, which I did. She was right behind me to support me all the way!
